Q. WHAT SHOULD I INCLUDE IN MY VIDEO?

A. Your video should include an improvisational section preferably to a jazz standard You can submit choreographed work either on stage or in the studio to support your application that demonstrates your grasp of musicality.

 

Q. I HAVEN’T HEARD BACK ON MY APPLICATION…

A. Applications are under review and can stay under review until March 1st. If you haven’t had an acceptance or decline email, the committee is still going over your application. All acceptances will go out by March 2024.

 

Q. ARE THE AGE GUIDELINES A definite REQUIREMENT??

A. For the most part, yes. While there are always exceptions, we strongly believe that the specific age requirements are necessary to facilitate and shape each experience for each stage of a dancer’s life and have created experiences that meet different needs of todays tap dancers. Therefore, each experience is not a progression of levels. All experiences require a high standard of technical ability along with a strong grasp of musicality

A. We will have specifics on arrival times by March 1st.

A. We will have specifics on departure times by March 1st.

 

Q. WHERE WILL WOODSHED BE THIS YEAR?

A. We are so excited to be returning to Estes Park, Colorado!

Q. WHERe WILL we stay?

A. All attendees will be in dorms at the YMCA in Estes Park. Typically we have 4-5 dancers per dorm. Dorms have either 2 sets of bunkbeds and a queen bed, or they will have 2 queen beds and a sofa bed.

Q. I HAVE SPECIAL DIETARY NEEDS…WILL THIS BE ACCOMMODATED?

A. Yes, the dining hall is equipped to handle gluten free, vegetarian, and vegan diets. If you have other special dietary needs, please contact us so that we can discuss your specific situation.
